"If you wait until you can do everything for everybody, instead of something for somebody, you'll end up doing nothing for nobody." -Malcom Bane
This week a client caught me off guard...
Every week I have found new reasons to love this project, most of them being personal to my family and myself. However, this week I was surprised to find out it is positively affecting my business as well. During a consultation with a new bride & groom we were discussing how she found me and why she chose me. That's when she said,
"The thing that truly sold me on hiring you to photograph our wedding was your blog. I love the pictures you take of your kids and your ability to capture candid moments."
It took everything in me to not begin crying tears of joy. To be honest, I didn't think anyone really looked at my blog. That didn't matter to me because I enjoy it so much and I thought I was just doing it for myself. So to hear that not only is someone reading my blog, but it was also a deciding factor on choosing to hire me was one of the biggest compliments anyone has ever given me.
So, to that bride... I am honored to photograph your big day and capture many beautiful candid moments for you. The compliments you gave me mean more to me than you know. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
And to anyone else reading this blog today... I hope these images inspire you in some way shape or form or at the very least, I hope they make you smile. Thank you for joining me on my 365 journey.
Now... onto the pictures! =)
57 | 365 Grandma & Grandpa are back from Mexico!
58 | 365 Last night we had a living-room family sleepover. Mommy doesn't sleep on floors, so daddy was nice enough to pull our massive king sized mattress out. It barely fit. Watching the boy's faces light up when they saw him coming instantly made it worth the effort. We wrestled, snuggled, watched the Cars movie (a daily routine in our home) and then slept like babies. I'm not sure who loved it more, us or the kids? I absolutely love how the simplest things make life so fun.
59 | 365 I just really love coffee. Even at 5:30pm.
60 | 365 Nom. Nom. Nom.
Side Note... I had to search for a long time to find this, but I am so glad I did. This is a nearly identical image of my husband with our older son.
61 | 365 One day a time will come when they find snuggling up on the couch weird. Until then, I will cherish this.
62 | 365 Another Minnesota snow day. Watching their puppy-dog play in the snow. #MinneSNOWta
