Juggling all the Hats.
Summertime with these boys has been such a wonderful blessing. We have gone on adventures and made memories that will hopefully last them a lifetime, but frankly... I am so ready for school to start. I am thankful for the time Summer allows me to spend with them, but sometimes "making it work" is just plain hard.
On a typical day, we have lunch and then it's baby bro's nap time. While he sleeps, the big boys and I get to work
We do our designated chores and clean up the house (seriously this is the one time of day that my house doesn't look like a complete sh*t storm),
We do a few pages of their reading/math workbooks (let's be honest, this doesn't happen as regularly as it should be),
Then each of us gets some "me" time.
They usually decide to play Minecraft, or Plants vs Zombies, or some other ridiculous game called Goat Simulator 2.
This is my time to get sh*t done! It is my favorite time of day. I get to grab a pop, kick back with my laptop and focus on my to-do list. Yet, it never lasts long enough. Baby wakes up, the boys have had more than enough screen-time and I'm back to my motherly duties while prepping for that evening's session.
Next month I will have a 1st grader, a kindergartner and a 1.5 year old starting part-time daycare for the first time ever. Although I know it's a good thing, it's also a very hard pill for me to swallow. I've always wanted to be the woman who can do it all... stay at home mom, working mom, house wife, business owner, and the list goes on and on. The "mom guilt" I feel about needing a hand at times is no joke, but...
I am BEYOND thrilled to finally have long periods of designated time to focus. Time to not only check things off the list but finish the list. Time to get ahead instead of barely keeping up. Time to do much needed website maintenance and future business planning. Time to just do what needs to be done!
This couldn't have come at a better time as Fall in the photography world is the best, but so insanely busy! I love being a mom, I love this business, and I am so thankful I will now have time that is 100% designated to each.
With that being said... if you've made it this far then *BRAVO* for you. You've earned a little treat for that! My Sept/Oct/Nov schedule is starting to fill up so now is the time to get in touch with me about scheduling your Fall sessions.

I want to thank each of you for the love, support and kindness through the years. It means more to me than I know how to express.
