I will admit, I can typically be one of annoying, happy-go-lucky kind of people who are always looking on the bright side. I see glasses as half full and find the good in a bad situation.
That being said... DAMN, I'm glad 2016 is over already!
This year felt like a struggle from start to finish in so many different aspects, which is so uncommon for me. Maybe it was too much social media, maybe it was due to it being an election year or maybe you're just not meant to be happy in a year where we lose Merle Haggard, David Bowie AND Prince!
Of course this year wasn't a total loss. There were wonderfully amazing moments that I wouldn't trade for the world too. I traveled to Vegas for the first time ever, I went to too many concerts, I spent time with my family and friends, and I was lucky to get to know so many new clients, along with getting to photograph many return clients as well. Yet all in all I am really looking forward to 2017 and the fresh start a new year brings.
To kick start that, I am back to doing my own 365 Project again. I rocked this in 2015 and really enjoyed it, I tried for all of two seconds in 2016 before falling off track and am excited to give it another go in 2017. It will mostly be filled with personal work, but who knows maybe I'll throw in an image from a session or two for fun?!
So far 3 days in and going strong (whoop-de-de, I know. hehe). I'm getting my happy back, or so they say. And I can't wait to see what this year has in store for me, my family and my business.
