"You can only become truly accomplished at something you love.
Don't make money your goal.
Instead pursue the things you love doing
and then do them so well that people can't take their eyes off you."
- Maya Angelou
I am very fortunate to be one of the people in this world that really, truly LOVES what I do as a career. So much so, that even when I am not working I enjoy meeting up with fellow photography friends, grabbing our cameras and shooting things with no rhyme or reason, just because we think it's fun.
This was one of those days.
Isn't she cute? (Oh how she will hate me for saying that, but HEY, it's true!)
And check out that custom camera strap. She made it herself! Craftiness is something I was NOT blessed with, so I may be a little bit jealous of her. *hehe*
First stop... Nicollet, Minnesota.
If you've never been. GO!
This is why... Just the smell of this place makes my mouth water.
Ohh, why not?
Then on to New Ulm, Minnesota we went!
Love this town!
I always wish I could find people after getting cute shots like this!
Whatever it takes to get the shot!
This is what she was photographing.
Little did we know the fair was in town that night.
Lucky for us!
Couldn't decide between color...
...or black and white?
Until next time,
The Other Half to "Mr & Mrs Photography"
Meet Melissa! When I'm not shooting a wedding solo, this is the gal by my side to help make detailed, lasting memories for our amazing brides and grooms. I could give you the big, long "how we met" story, but then I'd get all sappy and that's really not our style. I'd probably start telling you all about how she is not only a fantastic photographer and a breeze to work with, but how she has become one of my best friends and I am so blessed to have met her. She's just one of those real people that are such rare finds these days. She'll probably give me grief for this, but I sure do love this gal! ...guess I just couldn't help myself with the sappiness... Whoops!
Anywhoooo... I had the pleasure of photographing her family at their home recently and figured this would be a great opportunity to introduce her to my photography family!
A little behind the scenes... her youngest son, Miles... adorable and feisty!
Here he is running away from any attempt to "SAY CHEESE!" Got to love them toddlers!
